NOTD: Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

I wanted to do a St. Patrick's Day manicure but I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to do! Here is what I ended up doing. First, I was going to do all my fingers the same color with a stamp but the color I wanted to stamp with was too thin to stamp with so I had to go to plan B.

Everything I used. Left-Right: Sinful Colors Green Ocean and Irish Green, Cult Nails Hypnotize Me, butter London British Racing Green, China Glaze Gaga for Green, Zoya Manhattan, Illamasqua Elope, China Glaze Luxe and Lush, Zoya Ivanka and Big Ruby nail tattoos from the Juju pack. Not pictured: BM03 stamping plate.

First I started with a base of China Glaze Gaga for Green on all fingers, as that was the color I originally planned to stamp over.
Thumb:  One thick coat of Sinful Colors Irish Green and Green Ocean.
Index: BM03 shamrock stamp in butter London British Racing Green with  one coat of Cult Nails Hypnotize Me.
Middle:  Big Ruby nail tattoo from Juju pack with  one coat Zoya Manhattan.
Ring:  Two coats of Illamasqua Elope with Big Ruby nail tattoo with one coat of China Glaze Luxe and Lush.
Pinky:  One coat of Zoya Ivanka.

Here is the final look.

Tied Up and Twisted

Who doesn't like a gorgeous blue?   That is exactly what you get with Cult Nails Tied Up.  What can I say? I love blue, it is my favorite color and I love to wear it.  I really don't have words for how much I loved this look. I constantly found myself staring at my nails.

Unfortunately this shade from Cult Nails was only offered on Black Friday last year.  Hopefully one day Maria will bring it back.  There are other great shades at Cult Nails and they are awesome polishes for $10 each.  Finger Paints are available exclusively from Sally's Beauty Supply for $4.99 each.  Kind of a short but sweet post today.  What do you think?  Did you grab Tied Up when it was available?  How about the LE Flakie Effects from Finger Paints?  I love the flakies so much!  Once again thanks for looking!

Mardi Gras!!!

Happy Mardi Gras!!! So today is the post I have been waiting for to show you my coveted nails inc. glastonbury. I bought this polish back in October when I was is London. I popped into the flagship nails inc shop and this is one of the beauties I got my hands on!

nails inc. glastonbury and Illamasqua Boosh
When I sat in my hotel room looking at all my purchases, I thought to myself that this would be the most awesome Mardi Gras polish. I used  two coats of nails inc. glastonbury layered over one thick coat of Illamasqua Boosh. (Which incidentally I bought in London on the very same day at the Illamasqua flagship shop!)

Isn't it gorgeous!?!? Look at that glitter!!! nails inc. polishes can be purchased through Sephora for $9.50.  Unfortunately they do not carry glastonbury.  If you live in the UK or Ireland you can order directly from nails inc via their website.  Illamasqua polish is also available through Sephora for $14. You can also purchase through their website and they do ship internationally.

Isn't glastonbury the perfect Mardi Gras polish?  I just love it such gorgeous colors!  Not to mention the name rocks too! I hope you have enjoyed my Mardi Gras post.  Thanks for looking.

Breakfast at Tiffany's Layering

As a lot of you know I am crazy for blue so it is fitting that I do a blue layering.  For this layering I decided to use Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter as my base with a My Blue Lacquer franken Space Lift.

Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter and My Blue Lacquer Space Lift

I absolutely adore these kind of soft blues. So beautiful. This polish applies beautifully. I used two coats over  one coat of Cult Nails Get It On base coat.

Finger Paints Tiffanys Imposter

I then layered one coat of the My Blue Lacquer franken Space Lift over the Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter and follwed it with one coat of my trusty Seche Vite top coat.

Finger Paints are available at Sally's Beauty for $4.99($4.49 with Sally's Card), My Blue Lacquer frankens can be purchased through Beanie's blog at My Blue Lacquer for $5 for a full size or $2 for a mini size. What do you think?  I was really happy with how this combo came out.  I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have. I wore this one for a while since I am so addicted to blues.  Thanks for looking!

My First Lynderella

I have been lemming over Lynderella nail polish since I first discovered it. I finally got my grubby paws on one. Thanks to Leah Ann of Llarowe I got I Can Afford It. I love it. I almost skipped on it and I am so glad that I didn't.

Lynderella I Can Afford It and Illamasqua Elope
I decided that I would layering over the most awesome green of Illamasqua Elope which I picked up when I was in London this past October at the Illamasqua shop on Beak Street.  Isn't it gorgeous?  I will definitely be wearing again for St. Patrick's Day!

Swatch of Illamasqua Elope

Here is the final result of I Can Afford It over Elope. I loved this so much I didn't want to take it off.  I wore it for several days with no wear.

What do you think? Do you like it? Have you been able to snag any of the ever elusive Lynderella polishes? I was also able to get Snow Angel, Funny Money and All Hallow's Eve. I will be posting those soon.  Lynderella is available on Llarowe for $15 but you have to be quick when they are available because they sell out very quickly!  Currently they are sold out! :(  Illamasqua is available at Sephora for $14 but not all shades are carried. Illamasqua can also be purchased from the Illamasqua website for £13.50 where the full color range can be found.  Once again thank you for looking and I hope you enjoyed it.

Take Two on Illamasqua Festive Look

I loved the Illamasqua Festive Look so much I decided I try it with some other colors. See my first festive look here. Lucky for me I got the incredibly gorgeous Unnatural for Christmas and I picked up the sparkling Spartan when I was in London this past October.

For this look I paired Unnatural as my base and topped it with Spartan sponged on with a cosmetic sponge. Here is the final result.  I am really in love with this.  Unnatural has to be the most gorgeous deep burgundy red I have ever seen! And who doesn't love a little glitter on top?!

What do you think of these colors together? Have you tried anything similar to this for the holidays? Thanks for looking and have a very Happy New Year!

Christmas Layering #3

So for Christmas layering #3 I wanted to try an alternative festive design that I saw on the Illamasqua blog site. I love Illamasqua's nail varnishes, they are awesome.  I knew I would not be able to do it free hand as their talented Teresa Smith does so I changed it up a bit and did the tips with a sponge instead.  I love how it came out.

Here is the tutorial that inspired me to try this look.  I figured I would give it a shot since I bought these when I was in London  this past October.

Illamasqua Harsh and Boosh

Here is the finished result.  I was thrilled my first go at sponging came out so well.  I just adore these two colors together and it was easy to do.

These are available at Illamasqua for £20 for the set or £13.50 each. Boosh is also available at Sephora for $14. However, Sephora does not carry Harsh. I think I may want to try with some other shades as well.  What do you think?  Do you have any Illamasqua nail varnish?  Have you tried sponging?  Would you try an alternative no traditional look for the Holidays?  I hope you enjoyed today's post.  Thanks for looking.

Christmas Layering #2

I wanted to do some thing very festive and I think I achieved my mission. For Christmas Layering #2 I used Zoya Purity as the base with China Glaze Party Hearty on top. I really like how it came out.

Christmas Layering #1

I have been playing around with the many Christmas polishes I have been buying recently and I decided to do some seasonal layerings. I do so love a good layering. The first one is the combo of China Glaze Phat Santa with nails inc electric lane holographic topcoat.  I was a bad blogger and wore this one for a week before I finally got around to taking pics. I really wanted to take these in the sun but the weather just was not co-operating with me and I have been really not feeling to great this past week. So we have light box pics of this layering.
