My First Lynderella

I have been lemming over Lynderella nail polish since I first discovered it. I finally got my grubby paws on one. Thanks to Leah Ann of Llarowe I got I Can Afford It. I love it. I almost skipped on it and I am so glad that I didn't.

Lynderella I Can Afford It and Illamasqua Elope
I decided that I would layering over the most awesome green of Illamasqua Elope which I picked up when I was in London this past October at the Illamasqua shop on Beak Street.  Isn't it gorgeous?  I will definitely be wearing again for St. Patrick's Day!

Swatch of Illamasqua Elope

Here is the final result of I Can Afford It over Elope. I loved this so much I didn't want to take it off.  I wore it for several days with no wear.

What do you think? Do you like it? Have you been able to snag any of the ever elusive Lynderella polishes? I was also able to get Snow Angel, Funny Money and All Hallow's Eve. I will be posting those soon.  Lynderella is available on Llarowe for $15 but you have to be quick when they are available because they sell out very quickly!  Currently they are sold out! :(  Illamasqua is available at Sephora for $14 but not all shades are carried. Illamasqua can also be purchased from the Illamasqua website for £13.50 where the full color range can be found.  Once again thank you for looking and I hope you enjoyed it.

Love,

Christmas Layering #3

So for Christmas layering #3 I wanted to try an alternative festive design that I saw on the Illamasqua blog site. I love Illamasqua's nail varnishes, they are awesome.  I knew I would not be able to do it free hand as their talented Teresa Smith does so I changed it up a bit and did the tips with a sponge instead.  I love how it came out.

Here is the tutorial that inspired me to try this look.  I figured I would give it a shot since I bought these when I was in London  this past October.

Illamasqua Harsh and Boosh

Illamasqua Boosh

Illamasqua Harsh
Here is the finished result.  I was thrilled my first go at sponging came out so well.  I just adore these two colors together and it was easy to do.

These are available at Illamasqua for £20 for the set or £13.50 each. Boosh is also available at Sephora for $14. However, Sephora does not carry Harsh. I think I may want to try with some other shades as well.  What do you think?  Do you have any Illamasqua nail varnish?  Have you tried sponging?  Would you try an alternative no traditional look for the Holidays?  I hope you enjoyed today's post.  Thanks for looking.

Kat Von D True Romance Pigments Swatches and Look

Kat Von D True Romance Pigments in Meditation and Ladyhawke
I came across these great Kat Von D eye shadow pigments through one of Kat's twitter posts a few months ago.  I forgot about them for a while until I happened to drop into the local Sephora store and there they were.  I grabbed two complimentary shades as I already had a basket full of other stuff (otherwise I probably would have bought all the shades).  It seems like I can't ever get out of that store for under $200!
The first color is Meditation.  This is a great color.  It is such a beautiful shimmery light brown.  I absolutely love the formula of these pigments.  They stick well to the makeup brushes and go on smoothly. A little bit goes a long way especially with eye shadow primer and they stay in place all day.
Next is Ladyhawke.  I love this name.  Ladyhawke is a beautiful shimmery brownish plum.  I just love this color paired with Meditation.  Again, the formula is great.  It goes on smooth even when using it on the natural crease.

I  swatched these with primer as I use primer with all my eye shadows.  This picture was taken in sun.  I just love the shimmer of Meditation and the richness of Ladyhawke.  Incredible shades and formula once again Kat Von D hits it out of the park!
Kat Von D True Romance Pigments Look
Finally, here is the look I created using the Kat Von D True Romance Pigments.  First I used Kat Von D eye shadow primer in Skin.  On my lid I used Kat Von D True Romance Pigments in Meditation and Ladyhawke on the crease.  Brow is highlighted with Rehab from the Kat Von D true Romance Angeles palette.  I used Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper.  Mascara is Christian Dior Dior Show Waterproof in Black 90.

I love everything about this product and I have nothing bad to say about it.  I will definitely be getting more shades to try the next time I go to Sephora.  What do you think?  Comments are greatly appreciated.
